To hold a high level and pleasant atmosphere in the forum, there are a few basic guidelines which must be followed:Registration
Membership in our community is required in order to be able to read and write posts in the forum. When you register we need correct personal information as well as an operative e-mail address. You cannot become a member without this. The reason is that we want to remove any insincere membership applications directly. We are a personal forum where all members stand for their opinions and posts. Data is stored according to PuL - Personuppgiftslagen (Directive on the protection of personal data).Discussions and personal attacks
Even if lively and constructive debates are positive, personal attacks are not tolerated. Tolerance, understanding and friendliness are the motto. Think carefully if it is really worth sending off a mean and indignant post. Try to have indulgence for what you feel are the shortcomings of other. If you have a problem with another member's comments or posts, DO NOT ANSWER with further texts which can aggravate the situation. Members have two options:1) Send the message to the moderators and inform them of the situation and current thread of the message.
2) Send the message directly to the member and continue the discussion OUTSIDE of the forum.
Answering with a dumb message containing acidic comments and further nonsense can, in the long run, result in the post being erased and YOUR posting rights being withdrawn. The best way to meet dumb posts is to ignore them.
The moderators
You must accept that the moderators are here for your sake and are working for the benefit of the forum. You may sometimes feel unfairly treated or overrun. Try to understand that there is probably a reason for what has happened. If you still feel that a moderator has acted incorrectly and you have other constructive questions and viewpoints on their action, inform us via a message and NOT VIA THE THREADS. Complaints on the forum may be erased without warning. A moderator has complete controlling rights and should not have to justify his/her actions.Copying, ripping & illegalities
The legal status for downloading of copyrighted film and music is vague. Regardless of what the law says, we have zero tolerance for all discussions concerning the downloading, ripping and copying of copyrighted film, music and TV-series. All threads with questions concerning this will be closed down and can lead to exclusion. The guideline is, that it is forbidden to post any information used for illegal purposes in the forum. This includes links to sites which contain this information.LOVE THE BEAT DOES NOT ALLOW ANY ILLEGALITIES IN THE FORUM. All members accept that in the forum follow everything which falls under Swedish and European laws, no matter how morally justified one feels in doing otherwise. This also includes links to material of this nature.
This policy stands fast and all discussions regarding it are meaningless and can in the long run lead to exclusion.
Sense & etiquette
Love The Beat is NOT a democracy. It is a site about everything happening around B.D.M. Members who cannot accept this, the action of moderators, or those rules which apply, will be excluded with or without warning. Those who do not accept our demands on members can instead turn to the abundance of non-moderated forums offered by the Internet. We require that our members show each other respect, consideration and behave in a civilized manner.Members shall respect the divisions of the forum. It is unacceptable to post the same post in many places. In addition, the new threads and subjects should be named as objectively and informatively as possible. All new threads shall have a function and some form of meaning. The current moderator will decide which threads are meaningless.
Keep the tone friendly, informative and show each other respect.
